Stone Island Readies ‘Curpo Nylon’ Garments for SS22
Written by SOURCE on March 30, 2022
Stone Island has just dropped off a concise selection of curpo nylon garments for Spring/Summer 2022.
Adding to the label’s extensive catalogue of fabric and material expertise, curpo nylon is a substantial and supple fabric with a shiny appearance – or in more technical terms, an artificial fibre by-product of the cotton industry, derived from the usage of short filaments near the seed.
One notable piece from the collection is the garment-dyed shirt jacket, which features a single chest pocket, hidden fastenings and elbow zips which allow the sleeves of the jacket to be shortened. Arriving in this season’s “Onion Pink” colourway, further details include a tightening snap at cuffs and an adjustable drawstring in the bottom hem.
Similarly, the collection’s second hero piece—a hooded jacket—has been designed from the same full-bodied and ductile fabric and includes a snap fastening hood and inner lining made from mesh. Whilst most of the design elements are repeated across the collection—a single chest pocket, adjustable hems—arguably the standout element is the jacket’s raglan sleeves and printed zip fastening.
Rounding out the collection is a range of additional outerwear options, appearing in vibrant summery tones.
