Stone Island’s Latest Drop For SS22 Is A Bright Splash Of Innovation

Stone Island continues the expansion of its Spring/Summer 2022 offerings with a new range of innovative outerwear staples.
Titled AGGRESSIVE GOMMATO, the brand’s latest capsule includes a trio of styles that have been constructed from 80% cotton, 20% nylon canvas and garment-dyed. Staying in line with their focus on constant evolution, each piece has been designed using a unique process that sees the fabric getting unrolled and immersed into a solvent-free layer of liquid polyurethane, which solidifies while also incorporating the fabric. The resulting garments boast an opaque appearance with a snappy and rubbery hand on the outside while remaining perfectly soft on the interior.
Arguably the highlight is the Fella Diagonale Gommata Anorak, which has been treated to an additional anti-drop agent to give a more vibrant appearance for SS22. Details include two adjustable nylon straps and an added chest pocket with snap fastening. Stone Island’s signature branding also makes an appearance, along with hand pockets with a hidden zip fastening, ribbed cuffs and drawstring in the bottom hem.
Elsewhere, the capsule comprises a hooded jacket—which features the same nylon tape adjustable straps and a double array of hand pockets—and a vibrant yellow shirt.
