Stormzy Confirms Second Album ‘Heavy Is The Head’ Will Drop December 13

It’s only been two years since Stormzy released the critical and commercial smash Gang Signs & Prayer, but it feels like a life time ago. Almost as soon as the album dropped fans were hungrily pleading for more.
Now Stormzy’s confirmed the follow-up, the 16-track Heavy Is The Head. The new album will include previously released singles “Vossi Bop”, “Wiley Flow” and “Crown”, the latter of which should have given us some hints as to the album’s title. In terms of new material, however, all we know for now is that there’ll be some guest spots from Ed Sheeran, Headie One, Burna Boy, Aitch, H.E.R, Tiana Major9 and YEBBA, with production coming from Fred Gibson, Fraser T Smith, T-Minus and more.
The first whispers of the album came at an exclusive event Stormzy threw in Thorpe Park on November 7. Gathering his guests together, he announced, “[At] literally 6am in the morning, I literally finished the final vocal for my [new] album.” Then, last night, the album’s title was projected on the front of Shoreditch High Street Overground Station and St. Paul’s Cathedral (eagle-eyed viewers will also have spotted a clue at the end of the “Wiley Flow” video).
