Billie Eilish continues her strong run in 2019.
On Wednesday, the 17-year-old artist released “everything i wanted,” marking her first proper release since her debut studio album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? Billie teased the single earlier this week on social media, sharing a snippet as well as the colorful cover art by Jason Anderson.
“This song is one my brother (Finneas O’Connell) and I wrote about each other,” Eilish said about the track. “No matter what happens, we always have been and will be there to make it better.”
There’s no word on whether “everything i wanted” is a standalone record or part of project. Though Billie hasn’t shared any information about her much-anticipated sophomore album, her brother/collaborator has confirmed new material is in the works.
“We’re deep into the creative process on new material for sure. ‘Don’t Smile At Me’ came out Aug. of ’17 and the album came out in March 29 of 2019, right?” he told Zane Lowe several weeks ago. “But you know, we were percolating that whole time.”
You can stream “everything i wanted” now on Apple Music and Spotify.
Fans can also catch Billie’s performance at the 2019 American Music Awards on Nov. 24. She’s also up for six awards, including New Artist, Female Artist Pop/Rock, Album Pop/Rock, and Video (“Bad Guy”).
