Stream Offset’s Debut Solo Album ‘Father of 4’

Written by on February 22, 2019

Offset’s Father of 4, the latest solo release from members of the ATL trio Migos, is finally here. You can listen to it below.

Father of 4 follows Takeoff and Quavo offerings, which dropped during the last quarter of 2018. Quavo’s Quavo Huncho was released on Oct. 12, then Takeoff’s The Last Rocket followed a month later on Nov. 2. Both performed fairly well on the Billboard 200 chart, with Quavo reaching as high as No. 2 during the second week of release and Takeoff hitting No. 4 during its debut week.

Offset previously teased the project would arrive on his birthday (Dec. 14). When the album didn’t drop, the attention for the project turned to Offset’s personal life. Cardi B announced they were breaking up after getting married in September 2017 and having their baby Kulture.

“It’s [nobody’s] fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore,” Cardi B said at the time.

The news of their breakup was amplified after more rumors of Offset cheating hit the internet. Attempts to win Cardi B back by apologizing to her publicly and crashing her Rolling Loud set with “take me back Cardi” signs and roses received mixed responses, to say the least.

In January, Cardi acknowledged that she and Offset were working things out. The two were together at the 2019 Grammys, with Offset hitting the stage when Cardi accepted her award for Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy. When fans saw that she was wearing her engagement ring again on Valentine’s Day, it seemed things were getting better for the couple.

Offset’s journey comes full circle on Father of 4. “I didn’t take the cleanest route to success I ran into walls and hurdles but I over came them I’m proud of me!” he tweeted prior to its release.

Guests on the project include J. Cole, Cardi, Travis Scott, Quavo, and more.

Production comes from Metro Boomin, Southside, and Cubbeatz, among others. Check out the credits here.

With Offset’s run of solo features over the past few years and strong singles like “Monday” and “Red Room,” look for Father of 4 to be his redemption album.
