Roddy Ricch caps off 2019 with the release of his debut studio album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. The Compton rapper had a breakout year, which included multiple platinum singles, as well as the excellent Mustard collaboration “Ballin'” which continues to trend upward on the Billboard Hot 100.
Ricch was also recently nominated for three Grammy Awards. “Racks in the Middle,” his collaboration with the late Nipsey Hussle and producer Hit-Boy, earned nods in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories, while “Ballin'” with Mustard scored a Best Rap/Sung Performance nomination.
“Grammy nominated in the studio shedding tears, all this money power fame but i can’t make u reappear 😪@NipseyHussle,” he wrote on Twitter following the announcement.
At 16 tracks, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial features guest spots from Meek Mill, Gunna (“Start Wit Me”), Ty Dolla Sign, Mustard, Lil Durk, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (“Tip Toe”).
Complex News’ Speedy Morman caught up with Roddy Ricch during Rolling Loud Miami in May, where the rapper shared what to expect from his album. “This next shit is just gonna be world-changing, let’s put it like that.”
