Stripper Goes Viral for Continuing to Twerk After Falling Off 15-Foot Pole

Written by on February 10, 2020

If the Mamba Mentality was applied to exotic dancing then this woman did the stripper‘s equivalent to Kobe Bryant sinking a pair of free thrown after tearing his Achilles.

This week, a video went viral of a dancer falling from the top of a 15-foot pole at a Dallas area strip club.

From the clip, it was clear that this was a nasty fall. But rather than lay down in pain, the dancer finished her job. She continued twerking, closing out her routine before leaving off the stage.

21 Savage reportedly commented on the clip on DJ Akademiks’ post after learning she was dancing to his song “Immortal.”

Once the video started to make its rounds, a woman named Genea Sky admitted that she was the dancer in the video. Per her tweets, the accident happened due to a simple miss-timing while trying to perform a stunt that she’s done countless times.

“I wasn’t fucked up. I do the same tricks every night. I simply messed up this time around and that was the result. The end,” Genea tweeted after revealing that she suffered a fractured jaw from the incident.

As imagined, health care isn’t a required benefit for strippers. This led Sky to set up a GoFundMe in hopes to raise money to help pay for her medical expenses. So far, she’s raised $17,820 of her $20,000 goal. This moved Sky to thank people for their support with an Instagram video.

“The video has gone viral and I’m getting a lot of messages asking if I’m okay and all this stuff,” Sky said. “I pretty much broke my jaw… I broke some teeth and I got a sprained ankle when I fell and I got some stitches. But aside from that, I’m good… I’m just really overwhelmed by all the messages and everything. I’m so thankful for all the positive messages and the love.”
