The T.I. vs. Kodak Black saga carries on.
A week after the rappers began exchanging shots on social media, Tip dropped a snippet of an unreleased track that seemingly takes shots at Kodak: “I’m conditioned to see the vision, you/I don’t care if you’re 81 or 22/All that back and forth finna get into,” Tip raps in he clip. “I said what I said and I meant it too […] N**ga took it too far, better slow down/Your belief becomes your thoughts, then your thoughts become your word.”
Fans collectively agreed that T.I. was subbing the “ZEZE” artist.
For those who don’t know, the beef between the rappers started last weekend, following Kodak’s insensitive remarks about Lauren London. Kodak was seen in an Instagram Live session expressing his intention to pursue the actress. He made the statement just days after London’s longtime boyfriend Nipsey Hussle was murdered in South Los Angeles.
“Lauren London that’s baby, though. She about to be out here single,” Kodak said. “She’s finna be a whole widow out here. I’ll be the best man I can be for her. I’ll give her a whole year. She might need a whole year to be crying and shit for him.”
T.I. criticized Kodak for the comments, telling the 21-year-old: “If I see you, I’ma say it to your face. You outta pocket, n***a. Get your motherfuckin’ self together.”
Though Kodak eventually apologized to London—sort of—he and T.I. continued to trade jabs online. T.I. said he owed it to Nipsey to put Kodak in check, as he believed the late rapper would do the same for him.
“I see myself in this. And I only wanna handle him the way I feel that he would handle me,” T.I. explained. “That’s it … If a motherf***a were to speak out and say something out of line about my old lady after my untimely demise, I feel like he ain’t just gonna speak up, he gonna pull up.” He continued: “I owe [Nipsey] that same respect. I owe him that exact same respect, so I’ma go hard.”
