Terrell Owens Wants to Fight Donovan McNabb, Vows to Knock Him Out

The drama between former Philadelphia Eagles teammates, Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb, doesn’t appear to be ending any time soon.
In an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast with Shannon Sharpe, Owens admitted that if he had to fight someone, it would be McNabb. “And I’m dead serious,” he said. “Shannon, I’ll knock him out.” The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver told Sharpe that he would operate with “controlled anger,” comparable to a Navy Seal, while confessing there would be a “fire burning inside of me.”
The two have long exchanged public barbs, starting with McNabb accusing T.O. of being responsible for the dynamic duo’s split due to his “unbelievable” behavior. Owens previously stated he couldn’t wait to tell his side of the story, claiming McNabb pushed for the Eagles to sign running back Brian Westbrook to an extension, instead of him, when they were up for new deals.
One of the biggest “what ifs” from their limited time together is Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005 where the New England Patriots edged out the Eagles, 24-21. Despite throwing for 357 yards, McNabb threw three touchdowns and picked off three times. There has been a long-standing rumor that McNabb threw up during the fourth quarter, but it has never been confirmed.
If true, it’s unclear what caused McNabb to throw up. It could’ve been nerves, conditioning issues, or something else. Owens said on Bleacher Report’s Untold Stories that he “knows for a fact” McNabb spent the night before Super Bowl XXXIX partying and drinking. “I’ve talked to teammates since then and know for a fact he was out the night before,” he said. “He was out the night before pretty much the biggest game of all of our careers.”
“There were people that saw him out the night before that said he was drinking,” Owens continued. “And I think that attributed to him throwing up in the huddle.”
