The Best Lines From Damian Lillard & Marvin Bagley’s Rap Beef

Folks, we got ourselves a good ol’ fashioned rap beef between Damian Lillard and Marvin Bagley. The “feud” broke out after Bagley’s appearance on First Take yesterday, when he said he would go head-to-head with Dame anytime. Of course, Dame – who dropped his Confirmed album featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne in 2017 – saw the challenge and accepted.

That was the end of the talking, though, with both Bagley and Dame deciding to let their music do the talking. Bagley kicked things off with his track, “No Debate,” which led to two Dame response tracks with “Bye Bye” and “MARVINNNNNN???.” Bagley then responded this morning with yet another track. Btw, just look at the art they picked for each track. Genius. Love it. 

Think about that. Right in the middle of the NBA Draft, a rap beef between two of the league’s marquee young players broke out. That’s incredible. We’re sure Dame and Marvin aren’t done dropping tracks, but we decided to break down the best lines from all of the tracks.

And don’t get it twisted, both Dame Dolla and MB3Five are doing their thing on these cuts. Very impressive. Who’s winning, though? Tough one to call. Both have scored points. This is just fun. Peep the bars below and pray that this keeps going all summer. 

MB3Five – “Quiet on me, ducking around the corners, they hiding on me, your bars out of style, sound like you retired homie” 

Bagley really got busy on “No Debate.” If people didn’t already know he could spit, they sure do now. 

Dame Dolla – “Was about to pass ’cause you still in Pampers, bruh, and I never seen Floyd spar with amateurs” 

Dame is sooooooooooo good at this. It’s crazy that he’s so insanely talent at two high-level professions. And the “Duppy Freestyle” beat was genius for “MARVINNNNNN???.” 

MB3Five – “I said your name a couple of weeks ago, you been in a casket, and now you tryna rise up, I see you fakin a passion, I’m finna turn this Dame Dolla to chump change” 

WHEW. Why Bagley do it like THAT? This “Checkmate” track is hard. 

Dame Dolla – “I hope the King learned his lesson, this a bad investment, I never crack in the moment, you made a bad assesment” 

Dame with the “Back to Back” instrumental on “BYE BYE.” This is so much fun. 

MB3Five – “I run the game like Playstation, go and pass the controller, I’m on the track with high energy, you lackin a motor” 

TALK TO ‘EM. 

Dame Dolla – “You a fan, put respect on my name or get disrespected, You in Sac, I’m from Oakland, a minute from getting hectic” 

Dame ain’t have to do him like that! 

MB3Five – “I might ruffle up some feathers, but I’m just telling the truth, without that Wayne verse, you just another n***a in the booth” 

Yeah, Dame gotta get back in the studio, ASAP. We need more. This can’t end right now. 

Dame Dolla – “How a king come to battle knowing the kingdom worthless, n***a?” 

Damn, Dame ain’t have to do the Kings like that! 

MB3Five – “Adidas did send some Dames, but I thought they was wack, as soon as I opened the box, I sent them shits right back”
