The Battle of Winterfell has come to a dramatic end, concluding what was the largest and longest battle in TV history. In April 2018, Game of Thrones assistant director Jonathan Quinlan posted his thank you note to everyone on the show for their involvement in what amounted to a battle sequence that wrapped after 55 consecutive nights.

With Winterfell hanging in the balance as they hoped to fend off the Night King and his Army of the Dead, lives were going to be lost, legends were going to be made, and memes responding to everything that unfolds were going to rule the day.
