The data’s been gathered and the results are in. These are the best-selling designer products in Canada on StockX over the last 12 months.
While you’ve got the classic staples, like Gucci wallets and Louis Vuitton pouches, we’re also seeing limited-release collabs from the likes of Nike and Comme des Garçons making their way to the top.
“The top ten traded designer items in Canada further underscores a shift in consumer shopping behavior,” says Jesse Einhorn, StockX’s Senior Economist. “In addition to high fashion staples from Gucci and Louis Vuitton, we also see an increasing number of limited-release collaborations. The most in-demand products are those that successfully combine elements from both worlds; old and new, heritage and streetwear.”
It’s a sign of the times, and proof of Gen Z’s purchasing power. “Gen Z consumers are purchasing limited-edition designer goods not only for personal use, but as investment assets,” Einhorn continues.
“When kept in new, ‘deadstock’ condition, many of the designer collab products that trade on StockX actually appreciate in value over time, and savvy investor-consumers can earn significant returns if they play the market right.”
