There’s Still One Person Out There With an Undefeated NCAA Tournament Bracket

Written by on March 26, 2019

With the first of three weekends in the books, the NCAA Tournament has been pretty light on upsets. So maybe your bracket looks pretty clean unless you tried to get cute:

Still, having a clean(ish) bracket and being perfect are two radically different things. Though most of the higher seeds beat who they were supposed to beat, there’s reportedly only one flawless bracket remaining. In case you’d like to know who this person has in the later more challenging rounds, here’s a rundown of exactly what they wrote. Looks like they’re going hard for one/two seeds:

According to NCAA.com the bracket is the first registered one to ever have a zero in the ‘L’ column heading into the Sweet 16. That not true sounding statement comes in the fourth year that the site has been tracking “tens of millions of brackets from the largest online bracket games across the country, including our Bracket Challenge Game, ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, Fox, and Sports Illustrated.”

NCAA.com adds that two brackets remained unblemished heading into Sunday’s slate, and that they differed on a single outcome (with the 47-1 person picking Buffalo to beat Texas Tech).

48 down, 15 to go. Hopefully whoever this perfect person is they work for Berkshire Hathaway, if only to see if Warren Buffet’s serious about paying up.
