Titans Coach Mike Vrabel Addresses Claim That He’ll Cut off Penis for Super Bowl Win

The Tennessee Titans are on a magical run, and are only one win away from the Super Bowl. After the team’s stunning upset against the Ravens on Saturday, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was asked about a certain claim he made earlier in the year, when he revealed that he would chop off his own penis for a championship.
“Listen, I didn’t want to disappoint Taylor and Will when I went on the podcast,” Vrabel told Sports Illustrated’s Charlotte Wilder following Saturday night’s victory. “I knew they were gonna ask me things that probably, if I just clammed up, [the show] wouldn’t be very fun. So I tried to make it as fun as possible.”
Even though he has three rings from his time with the New England Patriots, Vrabel appeared on his players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton’s Bussin’ With the Boys podcast prior to the season, and said that he’d cut off his penis to win his first Super Bowl as a coach.
“Been married 20 years,” Vrabel joked when presented with the hypothetical situation. “Yeah, probably.”
When Vrabel made the joke, the Titans were not expected to make much noise in the AFC. Not only were they able to make the playoffs, but they also knocked off Vrabel’s former team as well as the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens. Naturally, people were left wondering what would happen with his claim, and with the Titans on the brink of the Super Bowl, wonder they did.
