To Infinity and Beyond: Napapijri Launches Their Latest Outerwear Innovation

Napapijri looks to infinity and beyond as they launch their latest circular innovation in the form of the Infinity Jacket. 

With sustainability quickly becoming the most important task faced by the fashion industry, many brands and retailers are adopting new strategies and design approaches to reduce carbon emissions and waste. Napapijri’s global presence matched with their close ties within travel, adventure, and environmentally conscious approach has led to the creation of their first circular, 100% recyclable jacket.

Heralded as the first of its kind, the Infinity jacket has been worked on meticulously for three years at Napapijri, delivered as a core part of their overall approach towards a circular future for the brand. Central to the jacket’s design is material innovation; with a particular focus given to recyclable materials, achieved with Nylon 6 fillings and trims, while its ECONYL Regenerated Nylon fabric has been recycled from discarded fishing nets. To ensure the circular future of each Infinity jacket sold, customers will be invited to register their purchase online, in turn offering the option of returning their jacket after two years in exchange for a €100 Napapijri voucher. The returned jacket will then be recycled and processed into new yarns for the production cycle of new products.
