Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady agrees with Pusha-T that It’s Almost Dry is the rap album of the year.
Brady posted a video of himself running in New York City earlier today to promote BRADY Run apparel, with the Ye-assisted track “Dreamin of the Past” playing the background.
Push responded to the video, reiterating the “rap album of the year” declaration he made earlier this month.
Brady then took it a step further and called It’s Almost Dry the “album of the year.”
Push has since posted Brady’s tweet on Instagram, along with the caption “BRADY SAID WHAT HE SAID!!”
Pusha-T was performing at The Novo in Los Angeles when he told the crowd, “It’s Almost Dry rap album of the motherfucking year…They can’t fuck with me.” It’s Almost Dry, which is Pusha’s fourth studio album, became his first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Months before its release, Push hopped on a Complex interview with his manager Steven Victor to put everyone on notice that “the album of the motherfucking year is coming.”
“A Pusha album takes a long time. It takes a long time to put this shit together, but when it comes together, ain’t nothing fucking with it,” he explained. “We stamping that on everything. I don’t care what they say, how they act. I don’t care how viral they go, none of that. Nothing is fucking with it.”
It’s Almost Dry finished second on Complex’s list of the Best Albums of 2022 (So Far), behind Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
