Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe Release Date DA6672-200

While fans patiently await the arrival of the Mars Yard 2.5, it appears that there’s another noteworthy Nike project from New York artist Tom Sachs coming soon.
Pictured here is the previously unseen Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe. The shoe resembles the look of the Nike Killshot silhouette with its low-cut sail mesh upper combined with grey suede overlay panels while blue pull tabs appear on the tongue and heel. The leaked images also reveal Tom Sachs branding stamped behind the tongue while the NikeCraft logo appears on the footbed and the outsole.
As of now, release details for this Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe collab have yet to be announced by the parties involved but check back soon to Sole Collector for new developments in the months ahead.
UPDATE (05/29): Nike and Tom Sachs have officially announced the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS). While the Tom Sachs Mars Yard shoe was designed with space exploration in mind, the GPS is more for everyday life. It’s built with breathable knit, a microfiber collar, straps, and a three-piece molded cup sole. The materials were chosen to “provide comfort, support, and a high degree of tactile sensation in a well-priced product.”
Expected to be delivered in multiple colorways, the GPS will launch in the “Studio” scheme, inspired by the new uniform colorway for the Tom Sachs Studio team. The NikeCraft GPS will release in men’s and women’s sizes for $110 on June 10 at nikecraft.com.
