Trick Daddy Responds to Mugshot Haters: ‘My Feelings Don’t Hurt Easily’

Trick Daddy doesn’t find your jokes about his mugshot funny.
The rapper was arrested in Miami Saturday morning for possession of cocaine and taken to the Hammocks District Station, where he took a mugshot.
People immediately commented on his hair in the photo, which is thinning due to the rapper’s battle with lupus. The autoimmune disease has a variety of symptoms, including hair loss.
“Let me get this right…you like on me..make fun of the fact that I have lupus…and all this just for the likes,” Trick Daddy wrote on Facebook. “Thank god im strong. Everything is funny until it hits close to home..my feelings don’t hurt easily. I’m too worried about waking up tomorrow.”
The Miami legend revealed publicly that he had the disease back in 2009, though he has been struggling with it nearly a decade prior. “I’m the type of person, I came from so far of a struggle that it don’t matter to me, I learned to turn my downsides into jokes and get around it,” he said of his battle with lupus. “My mama had eleven children from ten different men if she is strong enough to live with that I know I could live with this.”
Back in 2015, Trick Daddy explained why he medicates with cocaine and marijuana instead of relying on medicine on The Breakfast Club. “When I smoke weed and coke, the worst thing that’s gonna happen to me is I’mma go to sleep or eat,” he said. “If I take Lupus medicine, I gotta take a pill for this pill, a pill for that pill … then I gotta go back to the doctor every Thursday and give them my money.”
