Trippie Redd Slams ‘C-List’ Rappers for Low Album Sales

Last week was a big release time for rap, with Fivio Foreign, Coi Leray, Vince Staples, Wiz Khalifa, and EST Gee and 42 Dugg releasing projects.
While the artists’ brought in sales, none of them garnered enough to reach the top position on the U.S. charts. Trippie Redd recently made note of that, taking to his Instagram Story to tease the “C-list” rappers’ sales, calling them the “Avengers of trash.”
“I need all the C-list rappers—we bout to create the Avengers of trash n***as,” he said. “N***a, we gon’ sell what? If we all put our 30,000 first week together, we gonna make a milli, n***a!”
Though he didn’t seem to name names, one rapper whose project earned relatively low numbers is Coi, who is Trippie’s ex. Her album, Trendsetter is anticipated to move 11,000 in its first week. “I can’t complain about anything. My debut album is amazing and not one song can you say is bad,” she wrote online in response. “It been 5 days. I understand Coi Leray is so viral & works good on blogs headlines but trust me,it’s all part of the game just ride out andstayfocus.”
Fivio’s debut album B.I.B.L.E. is anticipated to bring in a respectable 29,000 units in its first week, which would place him in the top 10.
Trippie’s projects have a track record of charting well, with his recent album, 2021’s Trip at Knight, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 81,000 album sales.
