Did Tyler, the Creator end up buying his neighbor’s house?
According to Dirt, Tyler spent $13 million on a 5,000-square-foot Bel-Air mansion, three months after selling his previous home in the same neighborhood. His new four-bedroom, six-bathroom estate was completely rebuilt last year, and features “custom Brazilian wood floors finished in white oak, high ceilings and steel-case windows throughout.”
Dirt also points out the three-level residence comes with a smart-home system, state-of-the-art movie theater, and saltwater pool surrounded by a wood deck. For a luxury car aficionado like Tyler, the “four-car garage, along with additional parking for several more vehicles” could have been a huge selling point.
Tyler sold his previous Bel-Air home to New York-based design partners Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper for $7.9 million, slightly more than the $7 million asking price, as reported by Dirt.
On “Dogtooth,” one of the standout tracks off the recently released and suddenly aptly-titled Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale, Tyler mentions on the hook that he’s “tryna buy my neighbor house.” Maybe this is the latest example of his art imitating life.
