Tyreek Hill is denying all allegations of child abuse. In a letter sent to the NFL by Hill’s attorney, the Kansas City Chiefs receiver’s counsel told the league that Hill never punched his son or broke his arm.

The letter was obtained by ESPN and countered an audio recording made by Hill’s fiancée Crystal Espinal that accuses Hill of abusing their son. In that clip, which was shared with news outlets late last month, Espinal says that Hill’s son is “terrified” of him and Hill can be heard threatening Espinal.

“He (Hill) categorically denies he has ever ‘punched’ his son in the chest or anywhere on his body, or otherwise touched him in the chest in a mean-spirited manner or as a form of discipline,” the letter reads.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have suspended Hill from the team while they figure out their next move. Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said that they hope to make the “right decision…at the right time” about Hill’s future.

“That goes back to the ongoing investigation with Tyreek and really our ability to get any information,” Hunt said shortly after the clip was reported. “That audio was really among the first information we had received on the investigation.”

It is the second time that the Chiefs have been forced to deal with an abuse scandal in recent memory. Last year, the team released Kareem Hunt when video of him beating a woman in a hotel lobby was made public. Authorities have re-opened a child abuse case against Hill in the wake of the audio being released
