Three British men—Thomas James, 21, Luke Gibson, 21, and Simon Parker, 29—have been sent to prison after officers discovered £10,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis inside a tumble dryer.
The drug-dealing trio pleaded guilty to drug dealing while appearing at Chester Crown Court last week, The Metro reports. The court heard how the investigation team identified a graft phone used by the defendants to supply drugs around the local area.
Following a lengthy investigation, police attempted to apprehend the men, who were driving around in Citroen Berlingo on Doune Court, Ellesmere Port. Police found cash and cannabis along with a Samsung mobile belonging to Parker, who was arrested with James after they fled the scene nearby. Officers then used a warrant in order to access Gibson’s address on Camden Road, where they found more than £8,000 in cash, seventeen snap bags of cannabis, several mobile phones and a small amount of cocaine.
Police Constable Lee Ashbrook said: “This trio brought misery to communities in Ellesmere Port and I welcome the fact that they will now be behind bars for a substantial amount of time. As part of the investigation, we seized large quantities of drugs preventing them from finding a way onto the town’s streets. These drugs can bring neighbourhoods into disarray and we will do all we can to disrupt and deter those who are intent on bringing misery to our streets. We will continue with our fight against illegal drugs in the community and we will do all we can to make our area free from illegal crime.”
Simon Parker was sentenced to four years and five months behind bars; Thomas James got three years and eight months; and Luke Gibson was handed three years.
