Usher Responds to G Herbo Saying He’s a Better Singer

G Herbo recently shared a video of him singing along to Usher and joked that he was a better singer. It didn’t take long for Usher to respond.
In a video posted on Herbo’s Instagram, the Chicago rapper shared his take on Usher’s “Superstar.” After offering his best impression of the Confessions track, which originally released all the way back in 2004, Herbo added, “That was decent wasn’t it, though? That was decent. That boy good!” In the caption for the clip, he added, “@usher can’t fuck wit me on my worse day.”
When The Shade Room reposted the video, it caught the attention of Usher. Instead of laughing off the moment, he posted a simple cap emoji. While it’s evident that Herbo was playing around, it’s not clear if Usher is joking, too.
Usher has always expressed confidence in his abilities, and earlier this year he was asked whether he would agree to do a Verzuz battle with Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, or Trey Songz. “I don’t think y’all ready for nothing like that,” teased Usher. “You might be ready for something like that on stage, maybe in the future. Stay tuned.” He also suggested that the only appropriate competition for him would be himself, which isn’t something he would be interested in doing.
G Herbo, meanwhile, has been willing to admit his mistakes recently, calling himself “young” and “dumb” for cheating on his ex-girlfriend Ari Fletcher. “I didn’t know no better. I was just doing shit,” he said on an episode of Caresha Please. “I was just cheating.
