Waka Flocka Responds to Criticism of Him Supporting Daughter’s Sexuality

Waka Flocka Flame fired back at people who criticized him for supporting his stepdaughter’s sexuality.
It all started on a recent episode of Waka and Tammy: What the Flocka, when Waka’s wife, Tammy Rivera, was trying to navigate her daughter taking a girl as a date to her quinceañera. Rivera says she’s supportive of her “gay daughter,” and Waka stood behind his stepdaughter’s decision.
Some people criticized his stance by bringing up things Waka said about the LGBTQ+ community in the past. Waka has spoken out against transgender figures like Caitlyn Jenner and even alluded to violence against a gay man if he ever complimented him. The internet has a long memory, and people decided to remind Waka off his past comments now that he has a gay child.
Waka clearly caught wind of the criticism, prompting the video response below, in which he says that his stepdaughter isn’t “coming out” because she was never “hiding” in the first place. He also took aim at what he called “2021 adults” for involving themselves in the business of minors.
“Y’all n*ggas ain’t bullying nobody. And no, I’m not a phobic. I’m not none of that,” he explained. “What I’m gonna say is I’m gonna support my daughter. Y’all stop running with this narrative that she coming out ‘cause she ain’t never hiding from nothing. She not no face, no spokesman, no nothing. She living her f*cking life, man.”
The way y’all talk about kids is crazy,” he said to the aforementioned “2021 adults.”
And while Waka is singing a different tune when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community, it’s worth pointing out that he subjected Zaya Wade to ridicule and purposeful misgendering, so it’s no wonder the rapper isn’t being let off the hook that easily.
