Conor McGregor made his return to UFC Saturday night as he faced Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246.
McGregor, whose last bout was in October 2018 against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, made quick work of Cerrone. He beat him in 40 seconds.
McGregor bloodied Cerrone with a shoulder strike immediately after the opening bell. He continued landing more strikes in a clinch and connected with a high kick. A left hand sent Cerrone to the mat. McGregor was all business and caught Cerrone off guard.
Twitter was just as shocked as the people who were there live to see McGregor knock someone out so fast. Just read some of the reactions:
Joe Rogan interviewed both fighters after the match. McGregor sounds ready to face his next opponent.
Meanwhile, Cowboy was classy in defeat.
The Notorious is back.
