Jack Harlow and Pete Davidson have rapped together before, specifically about NFTs, but Friday night marked a first in their collaborative friendship when they hit the stage together in Los Angeles.
Davidson joined his Louisville pal during Harlow’s gig at The Novo, which was part of his nationwide “Creme De La Creme Tour.” Unlike his other tour dates, Friday’s included the very unexpected surprise guest, who ran through Harlow’s Pooh Shiesty collab “SUVs (Black on Black)” with him as they took turns on the mic.
Pete’s appearance was met with delight from the crowd, which went wild once he started spitting solo. At the end of his stint on stage, the pair embraced in a hug as audience members could be heard in the background saying “I was not expecting that” and admitting that the performance almost made them cry.
Whether they cried or not, Harlow was likely just as emotional during his interview with legendary journalist Nardwuar, which went live on Friday. The “bucket list” moment saw Harlow recieving gifts left and right from the Canadian favorite, as he looked back at his past and shouted out his a few of his hometown friends. “I used to be in my bedroom, watching Nardwuar interviewing the artists I looked up to,” he said. “I get chills thinking about. Nardwuar is someone I grew up on, and I always said, ‘One day, I’m gonna do a Nardwuar interview.’ I said it, and it happened because I wanted it to happen. It’s amazing. Thank you.”
