Paramount+ has released the official trailer for The Offer, the streamer’s original limited event series about the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic 1972 film The Godfather.

The 10-episode series premieres Thursday, April 28, and stars Miles Teller as as Albert S. Ruddy, who is hired as the producer for the film adaptation of Mario Puzo’s best-selling 1969 novel The Godfather

Alongside Teller, The Offer includes a star-studded cast featuring Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo.

Michael Tolkin, who wrote the series, spoke with Vanity Fair in January about what compelled him to make The Offer.

“What sealed it for me was when Al said, ‘Every day of making The Godfather was the worst day in my life,’ and that told me we had a show,” Tolkin said. “For every character in the film, getting it made or stopping it from being made was at the core of their actions, and it was a matter of life and death to them. So that’s not a gangster story, that’s a human story. That’s what gave the book and the movie so much power. Everyone is fighting for their existence.”
