Watch the Official Trailer for ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’

Over three years after the release of 2019’s Shazam!, Warner Bros. has unveiled the trailer for the forthcoming sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Premiering at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, the trailer finds Zachary Levi’s Shazam doubting his role as a superhero.
“I don’t deserve these powers, if I’m being honest — like, what am I even contributing?” Levi explains at the start of the clip. “There’s already a superhero with a red suit with a lightning bolt on it. Aquaman is literally huge and he’s so manly. And Batman: so cool. And I’m just me. I feel like a fraud.”
Scheduled to hit theaters on December 21, 2022, Shazam! Fury of the Gods brings back David F. Sandberg, who directed the original film, alongside a star-studded cast that includes Levi as the titular character, as well as Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, and Djimon Hounsou.
“We got this really cool look into the kids getting their powers,” Levi said at a panel at Comic-Con. “Now, it’s a couple of years on. We’ve been flying around and doing missions and helping the people of Philadelphia. Lots of growing pains. Not just in our own powers but in trying to figure out who we are as heroes and as real people.”
