Watch UGK and 8Ball & MJG Face Off in ‘Verzuz’ Battle

Two of the most iconic Southern rap duos of all-time, UGK and 8Ball & MJG, are finally set to face-off for the latest Verzuz.
It’s Texas versus Tennessee for the first Verzuz since Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild went head-to-head back in February. The battle is set to kick-off at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, and is available to watch on Triller, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch. The battle was only announced this week, but UGK’s Bun B confirmed the event was set to take place all the way back in January 2021. “I know I’m doing a Verzuz, but it’s not Texas-based,” he teased in an appearance on the Donnie Houston Podcast. “I’m doing Verzuz. It’ll be UGK probably against 8Ball & MJG. … Yeah, UGK will represent Texas in Verzuz going up against [neighborhood] North Mound.”
Prior to that, Verzuz founders Timbaland and Swizz Beatz said they were open to such a match-up if “the people want it,” which prompted Bun to urge his followers to ask for it to happen.
