New White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham got into a “brawl” with North Korean security guards, Deadline reports.
Grisham scuffled with the guards when they tried to block White House press pool representatives from accessing a meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-un, which took place at the Freedom House at the Korean Demilitarized Zone. According to CNN, she was a “bit bruised” from the melee.
“I just want to say that this is my honor. I didn’t really expect it. We were in Japan for the G-20. We came over and I said, ‘Hey, I’m over here. I want to call up Chairman Kim.’ And we got to meet,” Trump said while at the joint press conference. Trump and Kim Jong-un met and shook hands at the demarcation line between North and South Korea.
Trump continued: “And stepping across that line was a great honor. A lot of progress has been made. A lot of friendships have been made. And this has been in particular a great friendship. So I just want to thank you. That was very quick notice, and I want to thank you…”
Leaving South Korea after a wonderful meeting with Chairman Kim Jong Un. Stood on the soil of North Korea, an important statement for all, and a great honor!
