Woodstock 50, which was scheduled to go down August 16-18 in Watkins Glen, New York, might be facing some problems, Billboard reports.
The original Woodstock festival was held on the same exact dates in 1969.
Agents for acts that are scheduled to perform at the festival reportedly received an email from Danny Wimmer Presents saying that the on-sale date for Woodstock 50 has been postponed. Tickets were originally supposed to become available on April 22.
“There is currently a hold on the Woodstock 50 on-sale date. We are waiting on an official press statement from Woodstock 50 regarding updated announce, ticket pricing, and overall festival information. We will get this information to you as soon as we receive it,” the e-mail reportedly read, per Billboard.
Billboard later got their hands on a statement regarding the news. “Woodstock is a phenomenon that for fifty years has drawn attention to its principles and also the rumors that can be attached to that attention. Just more rumors,” the statement from Michael Lang, co-founder of the OG 1969 festival, said.
The festival is scheduled to feature performances from JAY-Z, Change the Rapper, Run the Jewels, Vince Staples, Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Janelle Monáe, Princess Nokia, India.Arie, Brandi Carlile, Portugal. The Man, Santana, Common, and others.

“The lineup will be a mix of some of the old bands who are still performing and a lot of new headline talent. Probably more than any other festival’s ever had,” Lang previously said to Billboard. “It’ll cross genres from rock to pop, folk and hip hop. It’s kind of representative of this idea of engagement and trying to steer toward acts that are heavily involved in social issues. So there’s some real gravitas in the performance and we want it to live on beyond the event.”
