The drop date was shared on letterhead for <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.complex.com\/music\/2021\/01\/what-is-pglang-kendrick-lamar\/\" rel=\"noopener\">pgLang, the \u201cat service company\u201d<\/a> he co-founded with longtime friend and business partner Dave Free.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe following statement was released today by Oklama through his company pgLang at 11 a.m. PT in Los Angeles CA,\u201d the memo began.\u00a0\u201cAlbum: \u2018Mr. Morale &amp; the Big Steppers.\u2019 Release date: 5\/13\/2022. All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Pulitzer Prize-winning artist had\u00a0kept relatively quiet since then, until\u00a0Sunday, when he surprised fans by unleashing his new song and\u00a0video for the Beach Noise-produced joint\u00a0<a target=\"_top\" href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/music\/kendrick-lamar-the-heart-part-5-song-video\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cThe Heart Part 5.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0The visual, co-directed by Kendrick and Dave Free, shows K-Dot\u00a0transforming into famous\u2014and infamous\u2014men, including Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, O.J. Simpson, and Will Smith. The photo, shot by\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/renellaice\/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener\">Renell Medrano<\/a>, shows Kendrick donning a thorn crown with a baby in his arms, while a woman sits in the background carrying a baby.
