The unbridled powers of brevity are on full display in YBN Nahmir‘s latest.
Late Monday, the YBN founder and Alabama icon dropped off his new “Opp Stoppa” video, clocking in at just over one minute and 10 seconds in length. Aesthetically, the simplicity is also alive and well and serves the song perfectly. Catch the new video, helmed by @remyallure, up top.
Nahmir, who recently marked his inaugural shows in Australia and New Zealand, has maintained a relentless touring schedule over the past year or more. Earlier this week, he provided support for Juice WRLD‘s Death Race for Love stop at Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. He’s also on the lineup for Tuesday’s show in Oklahoma City.
Late last month, YBN Nahmir joined Bhad Bhabie for “Spaz,” marking their second collaboration together. Nahmir’s other recent guest features include team-ups with Gucci Mane, DDG, and Asian Doll’s 1017 debut So Icy Princess.
Asked to define his musical stylings using one word in a 2017 interview with Complex, Nahmir notably chose “authentic,” a qualifier he says he achieved by learning to slow down his pace and diversifying his lyrical topics.
