YNW Melly Announces New Album While in Prison

YNW Melly‘s Instagram account posted a picture showing him talking on the phone during visit. The caption claims that he’s planning on dropping an album.
“Album on the way everybody,” the caption reads. “Y’all ready #MellyVsMelvin.”
Melly has been open about the multiple personalities that he says live inside his head. According to the rapper, he lives with six total personalities but he’s waiting until the right time to reveal them to the public.
“Melvin’s not an alter ego; it’s a person. I got mixed personalities. It’s another person,” Melly explained to Complex. “Melly is a joker. He’s just the one that everybody loves, and he loves everybody. Melvin is the one that protects Melly from the wrong people.”
Melly is currently incarcerated after being indicted in the double homicide of two of his friends. While Melly and his co-defendant YNW Bortland are due for a lengthy trial, the rapper remains optimistic, claiming that they’ll “be home soon.”
