Choosin Texas is a big streaming and airplay hit! It is still holding strong on streaming and climbing up pop radio, especially since it hit the top 10 on pop airplay this week!
I was expecting to see "Petal" at 1 or at least in the top 3. I know many people didn't like this song, but to be honest I wanted to see something different taking the spot. It's becoming exhausting (for me) to see "Chossin Texas" every week in the same position

Here are all 4 of Ariana Grande’s Number’s 1s
Santa Tell Me Focus Hate that I made you love me Kiss Me
She now has the most number 1s this year so far breaking her tie with Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo which all precious tied the record for the most Number ones on my chart this year with three each.
Out of all of Ari’s number 1s 13 of them have debuted at 1. Extends the record with the most number 1s as well.
Here are all of Ari’s number 1s on my chart (If there is a star then song debuted at number 1.)

Well sadly people are forgetting about Ari and Olivia when it comes to new music and want to wait for the most annoying moment to happen which will dethrone choosin Texas.
Because at that time, that’s all people listen to during that time of the year. And Billboard wants to keep not falling fully still . So AIWFC will definitely dethrone it
This isn’t related to the charts, but I think Ariana taking a break from music and film after her tour ends is the right decision for her health and wellbeing. I wish the absolute best for her and I really hope she’s supported during her time away. Also, shame on anybody who's been mocking her appearance.
Even if I think ‘Petal’ is far from Ariana’s best work and I’m kind of lukewarm on the title track, I was hoping that she would have more of a presence here to at least freshen things up a bit. I’d still have taken the majority of the album over nearly every song in the Top 10 right now.
You know things are slow when the inevitable “song of the summer” actually came out last October. The charts may not be stagnant as they were in 2025, but man, I can’t say this year has been a return to form for them at all. Even as someone who mostly likes Ella’s music, this is getting excessive.
