I am seriously wondering is it a super easy job for an American radio DJ? Just rehash the same bunch of songs. Look at the ridiculous airplay some deadwood are getting. In the 60s to 80s, radio DJ are the people that introduce new music to users. The story of how The Look by Roxette became popular was because the radio DJ are playing fresh new music. Radio DJ in the even earlier days play even the not popular b-side and made them hit. When a song is falling in popularity, they also stopped playing it and move on to the newer track on the album. Nowadays…😅

Mmm nothing interesting to say. It's exhausting to see the same songs in the same position. And it's so bad that "Petal" is out of the top 10. Maybe not her best single but at least was something refreshing to see. At this point this top 10 is becoming boring… •_•

So boring it hurts. Are you serious right now?? Man I Need still won’t go AND Choosin’ Texas is still at the top? Are we just cancelling all new music now or what? For fuck’s sake this is one of the saddest times I’ve ever seen for the top 10. Midnight Sun or any of the Olivia Rodrigo songs could be in here right now. One of the new Steve Lacy songs. Anything. Even Petal, a song I’ve made it clear I don’t like, at least freshens up this top 10 a little bit and that’s just suddenly gone now because… idk, I guess Choosin’ Texas is the BRAND NEW smash single that’s getting all the buzz and hype cause it totally didn’t come out in late 2025 right?

What on this green earth is it gonna take for the music scene to have SOMETHING to talk about. And especially for Choosin’ Texas to finally fall off the top. I do not even give a single shit that it’s about to tie the record for longest stay at #1 next week. 🤷‍♂️

For anyone wondering, ‘Petal’ is predicted at #18 this week. That’s a rough second week drop, but I'm not sure if it was the right single choice from the album. ‘Bad Thing (Bunny Hop)’ or ‘Kiss Me’ probably would’ve had better stability. At least ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ is still in the Top 5 for Ariana.

Another boring week. No new entries, no new peaks, and the only real activity is ‘Man I Need’ returning to the region. For as much as I loved the song during the winter, it’s had its time here and is starting to get old now. I’d rather have ‘Midnight Sun’ enter or even ‘Drop Dead’ come back instead.

Believe it or not, ‘Choosin’ Texas’ has now been in the Top 2 for more than six months. For context, that’s even longer than the entire chart run of ‘Weren’t For The Wind’. If that doesn’t highlight how much we need a change at the summit, I don’t know what does at this point.
