So… you can clearly see an old friend has reappeared right at #7… Sunflower and the nostalgia for me loving this song during the last year before covid let everything turn south, that hits pretty damn hard now on its own… but the reason it’s here mostly has to do with my re-evaluation of the Spider-Man films and especially Into The Spider-Verse. I also still haven’t seen the sequel Across The Spider-Verse so I should probably get on that soon, but yeah, this song is making its re-entry this week more on the Spider-Man side of things than any of the other various aspects that do still lead me to recognize this as one of the chillest and most lovely pop songs of its era. And more than 7 years later… it still holds up extremely well for me.
‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ might’ve had a rough second week, but it’s recovering well on streaming and radio stations are really starting to get behind it now. Hopefully that’s an early sign that it’ll stabilise and stick around in the Top 10 throughout the summer.
Nice to see “I Knew It, I Knew You” at #1! Arguably Taylor’s most underrated piece in a while and it’s nice to see go her back to where she started with country
Looking at the Spotify charts, I expect a few songs from Olivia Rodrigo will appear in the Top 10 next week. Her new album is amazing, so I’d absolutely love to see that happen!
Well done to Taylor on her 15th song to reach #1! ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ sounds like a blend of her debut and ‘Folklore’ albums, which is certainly a pleasant surprise. It feels nostalgic even though it’s only been out for less than two weeks. Fantastic to see her going back to her country roots with this.

The fuck you mean Janice STFU is still stable at #3? You've gotta be kidding me.
At least the new Taylor song is at #1, and I'm pretty happy with that.

Wow Taylor Swift bypass Rihanna having 15 number one hit songs and not only that third Disney song to hit number one

Good song to debut at #1, but I have 2 things to ask.
#1: Will the movie be as good?
#2: How will the rest of the debuts fair?
