I was not gonna comment this week, but wow has there been a lot of movement in the charts and I have something to say for everyone, so:

    1. “Folded” stays due to the new album
    2. I did not expect the success Noah Kahan’s new album would have, but “Doors” is great so…
    3. “Golden” is not here anymore and “Ordinary” is about to fall yes
    4. I’m lowkey suprised “ICLYA” even made the top 10 considering it’s momentum in the 2nd half of the tracking week dropped
    5. Oh my, “So Easy…” pls break the curse
    6. Glad “Be Her” maintains its position at the top 5
    7. I legit thought “drop dead” would stay #1 for another week
    8. Same as I said for “Be Her”
    9. I think this is the first time “I Just Might” occupied #2 specifically which is neat. Also I hope “Risk It All” rejoins the top soon
    10. And finally, congrats for an 8th week at the summit, “Choosin’ Texas”

We’re so close to Summer and I’m so happy with how early May is going. I hope we could have a completely new top 10 rotation for the mid-year as we did for the early. I hope one of the Zara Larsson remix songs makes it in. I’m excited for that new Ariana Grande album, “petals” and how that would impact the charts. And I’m excited for Act III. I hope y’all have a great summer, and I might not be commenting for the next few weeks cuz I’m in exam season 🥲

It’s good that we’ve been seeing a much faster turnover in Top 10 compared to last year. As for this week, ‘Golden’ leaves the region for the first time in 2026 and ‘Folded’ mainly held on thanks to Kehlani’s album. Now we just need ‘Ordinary’ to go and things will look much more fresh.

Fantastic to see Noah Kahan with a second Top 10 debut this year! I really enjoyed his new album and ‘Doors’ is the one of the best songs on it. He’s also expected to chart all 21 tracks from it when the full Hot 100 updates tomorrow.

‘Drop Dead’ falling to #4 in its second week isn’t too bad considering it had multiple versions boosting it last time. Hopefully it’ll rebound as it gathers radio support nearer to the album’s release. I’d love for it to challenge for the top spot again in the weeks ahead.
