Okay I’m sorry but the hot 100 just keeps feeling like some kind of old-testament punishment right now.

Because what??? Excuse me for a minute, but the fuck you mean “Expectations drops to #7, Stupid Song just slipped out, and Nicole Kidman after over a month of notorious virality can’t climb higher than #6”, but IT’S OKAY because at least the song that went to #1 in February is still at #1 now in this, November 2026. And has been #1 for HALF THE YEAR.

I’m just calling it, Billboard is only going to fail to measure the music that is actually hyped up and well known and they have no intention of fixing that issue now. I don’t care for how many streaming farms and radio stations are pushing Choosin’ Texas, despite that I think the song is nothing more than okay… and it genuinely was popular in the winter season, it is not the single biggest song of all time. That is just a lie.

If anything, Housewife despite being a worse song rightfully would’ve earned the #1 instead. But I guess we just can’t have nice things, or even “just fine” things now. The one good thing I’ll say about this week is Dracula matching its peak in time for Halloween just having passed, which I think is deserved. But after that I know I’ll be done with it and ready for the song to leave before Christmas.

I’d really like to see ‘Housewife’ get at least a week at #1 before the holidays. Tate McRae might have better songs, but it’s a good lead single and she seems to be the only proper challenger right now. It’s also been the same two artists at the top since June, so a change is desperately needed at this point.

No new songs in the Top 10 this time, but I’d still take this over a majority of weeks that we’ve had in 2026. Good to see Adéla back at her peak, along with Karol G and Ariana returning to the region. Next week, ‘Thriller’ will probably show up due to Halloween and ‘Dracula’ could hit a new high after 58 weeks.

Disappointed to see ‘Expectations’ drop several places. In an ideal world, this would’ve gone to #1, but radio stations are still focussing on ‘Stupid Song’, and for as much as I love that single too, its streams peaked months ago now. Speaking of fallers, it’s a real shame that ‘Lies’ is gone after just one week.
