At least the good thing I can say about this week is we got SOMETHING new. I gave the Karol G song a listen and… eh, it'll do. It is new after all. The intro made me kinda cringe but the rest of the song was fine and I do think it's got a nice misty atmosphere in the way it's presented.
But doesn't exactly change the fact that the top 10 is in a very mundane place of starvation right now. 🙁

Honestly, I feel bad for anyone who’s started following the charts in the past couple of years because the Top 10 always used to be a lot more exciting to watch. Sure, we got a new song here for the first time in five weeks, but everything else remains so stale and boring in terms of movement.

Karol G breaking through this week to earn a second Top 10 single is such a breath of fresh air. It’s not my favourite song of hers, but she’s a talented artist and it’s fantastic to see a Latin female singer here for the first time in ages. We really needed this.
